Education Advocate

Support school supply campaigns, mentor students, and assist with participatory school governance programs.

Climate Awareness Leader

Lead climate-smart agriculture workshops and support tree planting and urban gardening campaigns.

Volunteer FAQs

No formal experience is required. What matters most is your passion, commitment, and willingness to learn. All Zango volunteers receive structured onboarding and role-specific training before they begin.
Volunteering at Zango is unpaid. However, you receive formal recognition of your service, reference letters, certificates, and access to professional development opportunities. High-performing volunteers are also considered for full-time paid positions as the organisation grows.
Commitment varies by role. Some positions require regular weekly hours; others are project-based and flexible. We'll discuss time expectations with you during the application process and find an arrangement that works for your schedule.
Yes. Zango operates across Zambia and welcomes volunteers from all provinces. Some roles can also be carried out remotely — particularly in communications, research, and proposal writing.
After submitting your application, our team will review it and aim to respond within 7–14 working days. Successful applicants will be invited for a brief onboarding conversation before being placed in a role.
